Ministry Positions Available

We have an opening for a full-time Children’s/Youth Pastor/Director. Currently our youth averages around 60 students during Midweek. Over the past few years, we have been working to build our children’s ministry and have done well in doing so. We’d like to continue that area but also begin expanding our teen ministry as some of the kids have grown into this age bracket. Presently our largest division is the elementary grades 1-5. We currently only have around 9 – 10 early teens but hope to develop this group.

We have a great volunteer staff who work with our kids. We are involved in CTS and are working to increase our participation in this area. We also take a major role in Church Camp during the summer as well as a winter retreat.

We are a church in a rural community with a large Family Life Center with gymnasium and classrooms. Applicants need to be willing and able to live in a rural setting where kids participate in things like 4-H and raising animals for the County Fair. Walmart is half an hour drive.

Primary Objective: To oversee the discipleship ministry of the youth of all ages. Primary focus will be on elementary ages, however, begin developing an early teen discipleship program.

Job Description: To administer the youth ministries of the church for the purpose of leading young people to Christ and Christian maturity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee planning, coordination/cooperation of Youth/children’s ministry.
• Recruit, train, equip and motivate volunteers.
• Purchase or prepare all teaching materials for student ministry.
• Oversee follow-up of students.
• Conduct/oversee Children’s Worship on Sunday.
• Teach/oversee student midweek services.
• Plan and oversee youth summer camp, Vacation Bible School, Easter event and Fall Festival.
• Plan and implement events and opportunities that promote community, service, worship and outreach.

Organizational Relationships: The Student/Children’s Pastor/Director is directly responsible to the Lead Pastor. This individual oversees the volunteers in all phases of the student ministry.

Student/Children’s Pastor/Director Requirements:

• Love’s children.
• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Youth or Children’s ministry. Consider elementary or early child development.
• Knowledgeable in student ministry.
• Good at recruiting, training and leading adult leaders.
• Someone who has initiative and is willing to get things done.
• Team player.

We are prayerfully seeking a music leader whose life and leadership flow from a deep love for Christ and His church. This person must understand that worship is not about a stage, a sound, or performance, but about glorifying God and shepherding His people to respond to His truth with reverence, joy, and obedience. While musical excellence is important, spiritual maturity, humility, and faithfulness to Scripture matter more. We desire a leader who will support the preaching of the Word, disciple others, and help cultivate a worship culture that exalts Christ, unites the congregation, and directs hearts toward God rather than personalities. Musical skill is essential, but so is a heart for discipleship, teamwork, and pastoral care through worship. We value spiritual leadership, teachability, and a willingness to serve alongside our pastors and leaders in advancing the mission of the church and encouraging God’s people through worship that is reverent, joyful, and rooted in truth.
